The brand-new ad campaign of PhonePe stars Aamir khan and Alia Bhatt. Flipkart owned digital wallet platform PhonePe has announced that it has designated Rs 800 crore for marketing activities this year, which includes spends on a mix of ATL, BTL, TV. It is also officially co-presenting sponsor for the Indian Premier League 2020. They are planning to launch their 5-week brand campaign during the series.
Both the actors will be featuring in the upcoming ad films
of the brand. The whole 5-week campaign will be centred around the PhonePe new
tagline Karte ja Badhte ja. The campaign showcases fast transactions,
convenient payment modes, simpler investment options, access to over 100+ apps
and PhonePe wide acceptance at over 10 million offline shops.
However, the appointing of Aamir khan and Alia Bhatt as model brand Ambassadors did not sit well with some netizens. #UninstallPhonePe started trending on social media platforms. People objected to the fact the company has launched ‘anti-country’ Aamir khan and ‘Nepokid’ Alia Bhatt as their brand ambassadors.
After SSR’s death Alia Bhatt being a Nepokid has been facing
lot of people dislikes. Her recent movie Sadak 2 became one of the most
disliked videos on YouTube. On the other hand, people are not happy with Aamir
khan for being silent on Nepotism debate and visiting Turkey Prime Minister who
spoke against India.
